The outline of the Blackbird nearly recalls the iconic single fins of the 70’s, with a more sensitive rail and a little extra tail width to accommodate a four-fin design. Ultimately, I wanted to capture some of the aesthetics of what I believe to be the most radical era on the North Shore, throwing in a few modifications and a few extra fins.
A quad setup adds its own natural speed to navigate variable conditions – like tradewind and chop – adding a little extra power and control. The ideal craft for pocket rides, full-power hacks, and long carves. A wider nose entry makes the Blackbird a paddling machine, especially useful on hollow waves, in current, larger waves and crowded days. A beaked nose hides volume and pays homage to the shapes of the past.

All surfboards are custom-tailored for you. Once a deposit is made, we will contact you directly to configure desired board dimensions and specifics. Surfboards typically take 5-7 weeks to complete. Resin tints and artwork available upon request.
